Hi folks,
Now we are into the midst of the season and things will be happening quickly and sometimes things will change abruptly. I want to apologize for running practice so long on Thursday to get the kids' skis waxed. The new machine will take a few runs to get it dialed in with timing in the cold.
First things, the race on Friday! Wow! You all were amazing. With three Middle School skiers on the podium, with two HS girls in the top 10, with two HS boys in the top 15, and with some first time racers getting that under their belts it was a great day. Special shout outs to Jacob Chabot for winning the MS boys race, to Ellis Sprague for winning the MS girls race, to Daphne Henrichsen for her third place for the MS girls race. More kudos to Tekken his first race, for Delaney for all her progress (despite the fall) and looking forward to her return, and to Haley (-14%), Catherine (-10%), Quinn (-48%), Evan (-51%), and Joey (-38%) who all had their best race result in terms of percentage back ever. Ned Stepp had his best race of high school (-29%). We look at percentage back because each race is so different and this looks at your performance compared to the person winning the race. I have much more data that some of you have seen before, but what really matters is how much you all have worked and improved as the season is just starting out. Well done!
Note the Change!
