Hi folks,

Sorry for the lateness of this week's update, I've just gotten to sit down after an amazing weekend with six of our skiers at the Lake Placid SuperTour/Eastern Cup where Ayla and Kylin Frenkiewich, Eli Baer, Andrew Blagden, Aiden Deegan, and Molly Ellison competed against some pretty incredible skiers, on a couple of incredibly tough courses, in some pretty cold conditions. Also, a big thanks to Scott Ellison, Andy Deegan, Brian Frenkiewich and Tim Blagden for braving it all with the kids. They will have stories to last a lifetime.

This week we're continuing classic skiing in preparation for the NH Coaches' Series race on February 12.

Monday: Practice @ Proctor 3-5 Classic, distance L1 ski with some hill work for technique

Tuesday: Practice @ Proctor 3-5 Classic, easy ski with some warm up and cool down work.

Wednesday: Race at Whitaker Woods (North Conway). Classic, MS dismissal 11:00, (11:15 departure), HS dismissal 11:15 (11:30 departure)*

Thursday: Practice @ Proctor 3-5 Classic Recovery ski

Friday: Practice @ Proctor 3-5 Classic speeds**

*A reminder about missing classes, please make sure that you communicate with your teachers that you will be missing class and ask about your work beforehand. Teachers appreciate the head's up.

**This coming weekend is the Craftsbury/Henchey Eastern Cup and the trailer will not be at practice on Friday. Please make sure you take your skis home on Thursday. Also, Friday is an official (not optional) practice for all HS skiers who are not going to the Eastern Cup race.

A word on waxing. This week the temperatures are expected to swing pretty wildly with Wednesday's race air temp around 40F. You'll want to make sure that you've got red wax on your classic skis (tips and tails) for much of the week.

The training shirts are in, I just need to figure out how to pick them up in Newport before 5:00 pm. More word on this later.
