Hi folks,
This is getting to the end of the strangest season we've ever experienced. Things this week are a bit up in the air because of the weather on Tuesday, but we'll put forth two plans and work through it.
I also want to thank all of you who have continued to come to practices and to let you all know that we'll be practicing through March 13 which is the date for the NH U16/Eastern HS championships at Dublin Nordic Center.
Another big shout out to the skiers who chose to participate in the New England Nordic Ski Association (NENSA) races the past two weekends. We had eight skiers who raced in these races against the best skiers in NH and New England and they did very well. The races at Dublin on Feb. 20, Holderness on Feb. 21 and at Proctor today included Evan Pauling, Steven Williamson, Ayla Frenkiewich, Katelyn Harvey, Kylin Frenkiewich, Andrew Blagden, Molly Ellison, and Noah Gardner. They all did really well on tough courses with strong fields. You'll see many of them named to the EHS or U16 teams based on their performances this season.
Skiers who are finished skiing for the season need to return uniforms. Mr. Keene will collect the MS skiers' uniforms, and Mr Lee will collect the HS uniforms. Please make sure that they are clean (hang dry, not in the dryer) and get them to us as soon as possible.
This week:
Monday: practice @ Proctor 3:00-5:00, easy ski skate
Tuesday (current): DII State Championships @ Great Glen, bus leaves at 6:30 am from HS, Racing starts at 10:00, skiathlon (classic leg followed by skate leg)
Wednesday: off day
Thursday: (current) practice @ Proctor 3:00-5:00, recovery ski/fun day Mandatory for skiers in U16s and Team NH
Friday: practice @ Proctor 3:00-5:00, classic technique work
Saturday: possible skiing at Jackson TBD
Sunday: on your own Over Distance ski
ALTERNATIVE (we will know if this is the case by noon tomorrow)
Monday: practice @ Proctor 3:00-5:00, easy ski skate
Tuesday: off day
Wednesday: practice @ Proctor 3:00-4:00, easy ski, then States skiers go home to wax (trailer will NOT be at Proctor)

We'd really like folks to come and continue skiing as the conditions at Proctor are still very, very good and on our excursions, any families who wish to come and ski at the venue are welcome.
I'll send out a waxing instruction to the states skiers as soon as we have a decision on which day we're going.
